“I was initially hesitant because I do not love my body. But 2020 is the year for me to jump in and give zero effs.”

“I am glad I did it and I am going to focus on the positives about my body. This body created 3 beautiful children and had three major surgeries so why can’t I give myself some slack and some love?

I started hating my body at 13 and even 21 when I was below the average weight. There is a sickness created by media and society in general. It starts with us comparing ourselves and never ends. I am trying to help my daughter with this as she faces being bullied and called fat in kindergarten. It is hard not to go Rambo mode on these bullies. This world is so backwards and fucked up!

My ‘self-love’ level was below average. I wake up every day with the thought of I need to lose 10 lbs… that is always the monkey on my back. Now I have pictures I can pull up to say, hey it is not that bad, and it has motivated me to stay on the healthy track and start practicing a healthy mindset too.

This shoot would have been weird with anyone but Trish. It was professional and confidence building, she knows what she is doing. You feel good, her team helps you look good and that comes out in the final product. I would do this every year if I can. YOLO!

Advice to future BLP Participants:

“Just do it, embrace it and then see the final product and SMILE. You have nothing to lose. Trish has seen it all and that is also why she knows how to pose and capture you. No one is perfect… find what you love and rock it. We need more BAD betches in the GLB!”
